A charmingly bucolic antique Staffordshire pottery child’s plate, early to mid 1800s.
The central image features a transfer printed and hand coloured thatched cottage surrounded by tall trees. The moulded border features sprigs of leaves and flowers, hand painted in a matching colour palette to the main image. It has a dark red rim.
It is in remarkable condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is crazing and very mild wear to colour.
