A splendid antique watercolour painting of a richly coloured golden pheasant painted in 1829. There is superb detailing to the feathers which are accentuated in gold. There is a partly concealed inscription at the bottom (‘Golden Pheasant of…’) and the signature and date have been attached to the reverse.
Framed in an antique rosewood frame with gilt slip. Mild discolouration to the paper, retouched in places. Some wear to the frame and the gilt slip.
